Bbooster Ventures has obtained the authorization of the CNMV as a fund manager.

  Bbooster Ventures has obtained the authorization of the CNMV as a fund manager. The entity will manage 12 million euros. Bbooster Ventures is the only accelerator in Spain that has an SCR (Capital Risk Company) approved by the CNMV, Sinensis, through which it accelerates and invests in startups participating in the Bbooster program. Bbooster Ventures has managed to multiply by two the value of the investments made. At the end of 2016 Bbooster Ventures made a first closing of a second investment company Bbooster-Dyrecto, which received the backing of Fondico Global. The entity already has more than 6 million euros and invests up to 400,000 euros in companies that are in the phase after the business angel. Bbooster is looking for startups to invest through the due diligence weeks, called Bbooster Weeks, where internet startups are selected with billings around 100,000 euros in the last 6-12 months, to invest in them in several tranches. Two Bbooster Weeks are celebrated annually, to invest in an average of 6 annual startups. Regarding the type of startups that are sought, Bbooster Ventures is very focused on the search of projects related to artificial intelligence and blockchain. In 2016 Bbooster Ventures was one of the most active investors in Spain by number of operations, surpassing the 20 investments in a single year. With the authorization of the manager driven by its founders, Bbooster Ventures provides the structure capable of managing both investment companies. This evolution towards the transformation of Bbooster Ventures into a venture capital is another step in a long journey since its creation in 2010. In addition, the venture capital strategy is reinforced with the support received by Draper Venture Network, a venture capital network of Silicon Valley that earlier this year selected Bbooster Ventures as the most outstanding early fund in southern Europe to be part of its network of partners. Bbooster Ventures' partner, Draper Venture Network, is one of the most important agents in Silicon Valley, having invested more than 1.6 billion dollars in startups alone globally in 2016. He is also one of Tesla's investors. With this agreement with Draper Venture Network, the startups linked to Bbooster Ventures have thus greater access to divestitures, with greater visibility and resources for portfolio companies worldwide, but especially in the United States, where buyers of startups are located .
