Record commitment to Valencian innovation: more than 52 million euros for 421 projects

The Agència Valenciana de la Innovació (AVI) will support a total of 421 requests this year to develop collaborative R&D&I projects, which is 159% more than a year ago, a record number in the agency's history and the largest call for proposals to support the Valencian innovation system.

In total, AVI has granted 52.2 million euros to finance the development of innovative solutions to challenges of great social and economic impact. This amount exceeds the sum of the three previous calls for proposals and quadruples last year's investment. In addition, it will rise to 57.4 million euros in the coming weeks as a result of a budget amendment that will allow projects that had been left without public funding due to lack of budget to be addressed.
