Aquilino Peña: "We need to put the startup ecosystem of Valencia on the international map".

The Comunitat Valenciana's startup ecosystem has managed to attract the attention of national funds and now needs to be positioned in the international arena. This is the opinion of Aquilino Peña, president of the Spanish Association of Capital, Growth and Investment (Ascri) and founding partner of Kibo Ventures, who is clear that Valencia has established itself as a technological pole by moving closer - although at a distance - to Barcelona and Madrid.

In a key year for the sector, both because of the good investment news and the worrying scenario caused by the pandemic, Peña considers that the funds have been a good companion to the technological ones invested by being able to provide them with investment and knowledge in a more agile way when they needed it most.
