CALL FOR START-UP TNW CONFERENCE 2022

València Activa, intends to participate in the TNW Conference 2022, which takes place in Amsterdam on June 16 and 17, 2022.

Through the VIT Emprende Network, opens a call to select 4 startups and 4 facilitating agents of the Valencian ecosystem, to have their own exhibition space at the event that allows them to publicize their projects, establish relationships and international contacts. In addition, they could participate in a networking event on the 15th, getting in touch with the technology community in Amsterdam.

The Next Web Conference is an international technology event that takes place over two days in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. This event brings together technology executives, policy makers, investors, growth companies and startups, in order to share business and knowledge.

For this edition, 150 speakers are scheduled to share new and unique ideas, a 2,000 square meter exhibition hall where companies can showcase their work, increase brand recognition and generate new leads. Around 10,000 attendees will gather for networking sessions.

REQUIREMENTS

 

Requirements to apply for the call - Startups

  1. Be part of the VIT Emprende network. Applicants must be registered or register, free of charge, at the following link: https://vitemprende.es/es/comunidad/public
  2. Have fiscal and/or social domicile and/or residence in the municipality of Valencia or prove to have participated in an innovative entrepreneurship and/or technological incubation or acceleration program, public or private, in the city of Valencia.
  3. Have their own active products on the market or at a very advanced stage to be able to exhibit them at the stand.
  4. Companies and/or professionals must be incorporated prior to the submission of the application.
  5. Priority will be given to projects that have passed investment rounds of more than €500,000.

Until April 29, 2022 at 12 noon, specifying the following data:

  1. Name and CNAE of the entity.
  2. E-mail, telephone and complete address of the entity.
  3. Contact person (name, telephone and e-mail).
  4. Names and surnames of the possible persons who will participate in the stand, and the position they hold in the organization.
  5. Descriptive information about the company and the products to be exhibited at the stand. Max. 60 words, in Spanish and English.
  6. Logos in vector format with sufficient quality for projection or printing.
  7. Submit the requested supporting documents. In the case of domicile and date of registration of the activity (certificate of census status, 036 or 037, etc.).
  8. Letter of commitment, signed by a representative of the entity, where it accepts the participation in the event in the following terms:
  9. Availability to remain at the fair on the days of the event during the opening of the fairgrounds to the public.
    1. To facilitate the necessary resources for the displacement, lodging and maintenance of the people of the entity that will travel to the event.
    2. Subsequently submit an evaluation report on attendance at the event.
    3. Selection Criteria

The selection of companies and professionals to have an exhibition space for one day at the TNW Conference, will be carried out by the technical staff of Entrepreneurship of the Fundación València Activa, according to the following criteria:

By strict order of arrival of the applications, and as long as it meets all the requirements listed above.

The rest of the applications will be reserved in order of arrival. They may be added to the stand in the event of any voluntary resignation among the selected companies and professionals.

 

Requirements to apply for the call - Facilitating Agents

  1. To be a facilitating entity of startups within the ecosystem of innovative entrepreneurship in Valencia. Facilitating entities are understood as: accelerators and incubators, startup, investment or sectorial associations.
  2. Being part of the VIT Emprende network. Representatives of the requested entities can/must register, free of charge, at the following link.
  3. Have fiscal and/or social domicile in the city of Valencia.
  4. Do not have, so far, with representation at the event.
  5. All the requested information should be sent to the following e-mail address: vitemprende@valenciactiva.es 

Until April 29, 2022 at 12 noon, specifying the following data:

  1. Name of the entity

Proposal of participation, including the information detailed below, and attaching the corresponding information:

  1. Number of startups supported during 2021.
  2. Facilitation and/or support programs for startups during 2021.
  3. Investments made in the last 5 years in Valencian startups.
  4. Submit the requested supporting documents
  5. Letter of commitment, signed by a representative of the entity, where it accepts the participation in the event in the following terms:
    1. Availability to stay at the fair on the days of the event during the opening of the fairgrounds to the public.
    2. To facilitate the necessary resources for the displacement, lodging and maintenance of the people of the entity that will travel to the event.
    3. Subsequently deliver an evaluation report on attendance at the event.

Selection criteria:

For the configuration of the València Activa stand, a distribution will be established among the different agents that is as representative as possible of the innovative entrepreneurial ecosystem of the city. The following criteria will be taken into account:

  1. Support for the creation, acceleration and/or consolidation of startups during 2021.
  2. Volume of investments made in Valencian startups.
  3. Commitments acquired with the city of Valencia.
  4. Order of application.

The rest of the applications will be reserved on a first-come, first-served basis. They may be incorporated to the stand, in case of any voluntary resignation among the selected companies and professionals.

Communication of the selection

The resolution of the selection of the participants will be published on our website and we will contact those companies/professionals who are beneficiaries.
