Factory Startup candidate for the European Digital Skills Awards 2017 of the European Commission
The VIT Emprende Factory Startup digital skills training program, promoted by Valencia City Council through València Activa, is a candidate for the European Digital Skills Awards 2017 of the European Commission.
The aim of these European awards is to boost digitalization and improve digital skills in Europe. The European Digital Skills Awards 2017 boost the initiatives that develop the digital skills of Europeans in school, work and society in general. The awarded initiatives will be easy to expand and replicate in other cities, regions, countries and sectors.
The European Commission will reward the four best projects designed by companies and organizations to improve the digital skills of citizens, the workforce, ICT professionals and education. A fifth prize will go to the best project that also addresses the needs of women and girls.
VIT Emprende will attend the conference of the Coalition of Digital Skills and Jobs to be held on December 7 in Brussels in which the prizes will be handed out. Mariya Gabriel, European Commissioner of Economy and Digital Society, will present the awards. The winners and finalists will present their projects at the conference.
