INCIBE Emprende, the new €191M programme for cybersecurity startups

The Secretary of State for Digitalisation and Artificial Intelligence, Carme Artigas, presented, within the framework of Startup Olé, the INCIBE Emprende Cybersecurity Entrepreneurship Programme. This initiative is aimed at cybersecurity entrepreneurs and startups and has a budget of €191M. It will be implemented through INCIBE of the Secretary of State for Digitalisation and Artificial Intelligence. It will run from 2021-2025.

This new programme is framed within the investments foreseen by the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan and the Digital Spain 2025 agenda. Its objectives include supporting the creation of new companies in the field of cybersecurity; the internationalisation of consolidated start-ups with high potential; the promotion of innovation and attracting investment. Thus, INCIBE has set itself the challenge of accelerating a total of 1,000 companies and incubating a further 3,600 over the next five years.
