Valencia-based Voicemod closes $8 million funding round

Valencian technologies continue to attract the attention of foreign investors. After the financing rounds closed by Sales Layer or Zeleros, now it is the turn of Voicemod, a voice modulator for gamers and streamers with millions of users all over the world. The company has closed an $8 million financing round, led by German investor Bitkraft Ventures, which specializes in eSports.

Founded by the brothers Jaime, Juan and Fernando Bosch, the technology is used by online video game players such as Fortnite and other battle royale to personalize their voice in the proximity chats of these platforms - where it is possible to communicate with other nearby players on the battlefield. Among the more than 75 possibilities available on their platform is from speaking in the voice of Santa Claus to helium or an autotune that sounds like a trap singer.
