Startup law arrives: from better taxation of stock options to eliminating double contributions

It seemed that the Startups Law proposed by Pedro Sánchez's government was going to become a decaffeinated piece of legislation to half-heartedly fulfil a promise that has been years in the making. A law that, when it came out for public information, did not satisfy too many people due to the lack of definition in the figures and the lack of effectiveness it generated for the development of this type of company.

However, the draft law approved this Friday in the Council of Ministers has left a much better taste in the mouth as it includes demands that will have a positive impact on the start-up of new companies, such as the elimination for 3 years of the double Social Security contribution in the case of multiple activity for entrepreneurs who work simultaneously for an employer as an employee.
