PhysioMRI, the startup that wants to revolutionize the MRI market by lowering its price by 30 times

A research team led by Professor José María Benlloch, current director of the Institute of Molecular Imaging Instrumentation (I3M), based on the campus of the Universidad Politécnica de Valencia, has developed, through the Spanish startup PhysioMRI, a low field magnetic resonance machine, which costs between 20 and 30 times less than current devices.

Since 2015, the I3M - created by the Universidad Politécnica de Valencia (UPV), the Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas (CSIC) and the Centro de Investigaciones Energéticas Medioambientales y Tecnológicas (CIEMAT) - has been working to develop a design that "breaks the price barrier", as detailed in a statement by PhysioMRI.
