Informatics Week 2020

Under the slogan Informática as a service, the organisation of the event this year is adapted to the current situation by offering a more flexible format, with shorter days and schedules in both the morning and afternoon, which will allow attendance to be combined with the working day. 

The development of the sessions will be carried out through the Zoom digital platform which will allow interaction between those attending and the speakers, thus maintaining the open forum format for debate developed over the years. 

The new edition of Semanainformatica.com will be structured with a format of 3 sessions that will be carried out in the morning from 9 to 11.30 a.m. and in which it will be discussed how computing has entered fully into the new paradigm of consumerization, being more and more oriented towards the payment for use and less towards the ownership of the product. In these days, and taking into account the current situation, the role of Computer Engineering in the fight against COVID19 will also be discussed. 

The first of the conferences, which will take place on Tuesday 29 September, will focus on the transition of the public sector to become an administration as a service. 

The second day will deal with the challenges and opportunities of entrepreneurship and the digital economy. Finally, on Thursday 1st October, the 15th Computer Engineering Congress of the Valencian Community will take place, framed as every year in Computer Week. 

In addition, seminars and workshops will be held, also in online format, to maintain our commitment to training all Computer Engineering professionals. 

On Tuesday 29th September, from 4pm to 7pm, the seminar "Keys to improve your productivity and professional growth" will be held. On Wednesday, the 10th itSMF Day will be held in the Valencian Community and on Thursday, October 1st, from 4 to 6 pm, the "Agile Coins" workshop will be offered. 

The Organising Committee is finalising the programme which will soon be published on the website, as will the registration for all the sessions. 

With regard to the Sapiens Awards, and in view of the health crisis caused by the COVID19, the organisation has decided to postpone the award ceremony and the subsequent event to the next edition, in order to ensure the safety of all those attending and in accordance with the measures established by the relevant authorities. 

The Organising Committee regrets having to take this decision on the understanding that the situation now requires it and is working from this point on next year's Sapiens Awards, prizes more deserving than ever to recognise the work of professionals, companies and institutions related to IT Engineering in the Valencia Region in overcoming the economic and social effects of the pandemic.
