When Vicente died, his wife Pilar's life changed. She stopped leaving the house, lost the desire to do almost everything, and even to socialise, because "she had lost her travelling companion. And my aunt thought he was bothering us all the time", explains Vicente Montón, a 25-year-old from Quart de les Valls (Valencia) who has turned the sad loneliness that often becomes the life of the elderly into a business idea.
From his story, which he has experienced first-hand - "my aunt Pilar lives right in front of our house" - comes the proposal for Supernieto, a start-up company that connects trusted people with older adults to improve their quality of life, help them with technology and give them independence in their day-to-day lives.
