Arthex Biotech to start clinical trials for its muscular dystrophy drug in the U.S.

Arthex Biotech, a startup created by researchers at the University of Valencia, offers hope of a cure for patients with one of the so-called rare diseases, myotonic dystrophy, whose debilitating effects affect nearly one million people. 

Along the way, they recently won the most outstanding award of the VLC Startup Awards 2023: Best Emerging Company. It was in the contest of the City of Valencia that, through Valencia Activa, VLC Tech City and VIT Emprende, in collaboration with Startup Valencia, seeks to reward talent and strengthen the entrepreneurial ecosystem.
