STARTUPS SELECTED FOR THE STANDS OF VLC STARTUP MARKET 2022

 

VIT Emprende has selected 50 startups to be part of the VLC STARTUP MARKET on 15 and 16 October 2022 in Valencia.

A total of 53 applications have been submitted according to the selection criteria established in the call published on the VIT Emprende website on 20 July 2022 with the following requirements.

The València Activa Foundation, through VIT Emprende, is organising the fourth edition of the VLC Startup Market on 15 and 16 October in the Town Hall Square with the aim of bringing the talent of the VITe community of innovative entrepreneurs in Valencia closer to the public.

VLC Startup Market will turn the emblematic Plaza del Ayuntamiento into a great showcase for startups, bringing all the innovation and technology being developed in Valencia closer to the public.

This multidisciplinary and opportunity-generating event, which will bring together startups, companies, investment and public entities with civil society, will allow Valencian entrepreneurs to showcase their projects to society.

The VLC Startup Market aims to make Valencians proud of their local talent, which is internationally recognised but which must also be valued locally.

1. Purpose

Date and place of the exhibition: 15 and 16 October 2022 in Plaza del Ayuntamiento de València.

València Activa, through VIT Emprende, will make the Town Hall Square available to startups. In this space 50 startups will have stands where they can show their products and solutions to the public.

During the weekend of the 15th and 16th, the Plaza del Ayuntamiento will be filled with activities for all ages, in an event where technology, innovation and talent will be the protagonists.

In addition, companies will participate in a #StartupBattle where companies will be able to present their projects on the main stage in front of an expert jury and the people attending the event.

2. How, where and when to apply:
 

All the information requested must be completed on the form available on the vitemprende.es website.

Until 12 noon on 12 September 2022, specifying the following details as explained below.     

3. Participantes

Eligibility requirements:

  • Be part of the VIT Emprende network. Applicants must be registered and/or register, free of charge, at the following link. 

  • Have fiscal and/or social address in the municipality of Valencia and/or accredit having participated in an innovative entrepreneurship and/or technological incubation and/or acceleration programme, public or private, in the city of Valencia. Attach a document accrediting fiscal/social address.

  • Companies and/or professionals must be incorporated prior to the submission of the application. Attach a document accrediting the date of incorporation.

  • Have their own products active in the market or at a very advanced stage in order to be able to exhibit them at the stand.
  • They have to fill in the general application form where they confirm the requirements and attach all the required information.
    • Letter of commitment, signed by a representative of the entity, accepting participation in the event and availability to stay at the event on the days of the event during the opening hours of the assigned area.
    • Subsequently submit an evaluation report on attendance at the event.
    • Have the necessary permits to carry out their activity.

  • They must fill in the general application form in its entirety, confirming the requirements and attaching all the required information:

    • Short descriptive text of the startup and its activity (minimum 40 / maximum 50 words) in Spanish and Valencian.

    • Image of your "products or services" in jpeg format (800x400pixels) maximum 1mb.

    • Links to your website and social networks.

    • Submit the requested supporting documents. In the case of the address and date of registration of the activity (certificate of census status, 036 or 037, etc.)

    • Logo in .png or editable format, also attach the negative. Minimum size 1mb/maximum 3mb (or any other format or size as long as it ensures a good quality print for a surface of: Maximum height 36cm. Maximum width 40cm)

      • Remark: It is not allowed to display logos of commercial brands except for the startup's own brand.

    • Designate a contact person (name, telephone number and e-mail address).
    • Sign the data protection agreement, image rights as well as exempt the organisation from liability for any damage that may be caused by its products or services.

In case of bringing animals to the event, they must be included in the application form:

  1. Health card

  2. Vaccination certificate

  3. Proof of ownership of the animal.

  4. Under no circumstances will dangerous or protected species be admitted.

 

*Startups in the food sector have a specific call because they have special health requirements that must be met in order to participate in an area set aside exclusively for FOOD.

 

  1. Endowment

València Activa offers the València entrepreneurial ecosystem 50 spaces in which startups or innovative companies will have access to:

  • A stand where you can interact with visitors during the event.?
    • Infrastructure 2.00 wide x 1.50 deep x 2.50 high
    • 1 table of 120 cm (length) x 75 cm (width)
    • 2 chairs
    • double socket

  • Dissemination of the brand and products through the event's websites and social networks.

  • Participation in the #StartupBattle on the main stage (you need to designate a person to go on stage during the time allocated for the #StartupBattle).

 

6. Selection criteria

The selection of companies and professionals to have a stand at the VLC Startup Market 2022, will be carried out by the technical staff of Entrepreneurship of the Fundación València Activa, according to the following criteria:

  1. By strict order of arrival of the applications, and provided that all the requirements listed above are met and all the documents are provided in the required formats. Priority will be given to those with a greater technological component in accordance with the object and purpose of the event.

  2. If the required documentation is not provided in the application, it will not be considered and it will not be possible to rectify the situation.

  3. The rest of the applications will be reserved on a first-come, first-served basis. They may be incorporated into the stand assigned by the organisation in the event of any voluntary resignation among the companies and professionals selected.

 

7. Communication of the selection


The decision on the selection of participants will be published on the vitemprende.es website and we will contact the beneficiary companies/professionals.


8. Security and limitations

The selected startups will be liable for any damage caused to third parties as a result of their activity, both by themselves and by the staff in their charge, and must compensate any damages caused to third parties. Civil liability insurance is required. The minimum insured capital to cover the risks of the activity will be 100,000 euros.

In the event of working with minors, all personnel in charge of minors must comply with current legislation on the protection of minors.
