ftalks Food Summit'22 will leap from Spain to Latin America to support foodtech boom

KM Zero Food Innovation Hub, one of the main promoters of food startups in Spain and globally, launches its fourth edition of ftalks Food Summit with a relevant geographical novelty. For the first time in its history, this international benchmark event in food innovation will not only be held in Spain, but will also make the leap to Latin America to support the foodtech boom in the region. According to AgFunder's agri-food investment report 2022, in Latin America agri-food companies have registered more than six nine-figure financing deals, and the top 15 investment rounds involved emerging companies in the sector.

"Foodtech is experiencing an explosion in Latin America and is a very important opportunity space for KM ZERO and its ecosystem. For us, this step is a milestone on the road to becoming the most important food innovation think tank in Spanish-speaking countries. We want to accelerate the transformation of the food system in the region by supporting entrepreneurs and connecting the different agents of change. This first edition will be held in Mexico, which in addition to being the gateway to the United States is one of the largest markets in LATAM", says the director of KM ZERO, Beatriz Jacoste.
