KM Zero and Smart Agrifood Summit to recognise the most innovative agrifood startups

KM Zero Food Innovation Hub, an initiative dedicated to generating food products and solutions, and Smart Agrifood Summit, an in-person and virtual meeting point to find partners and increase funding channels, have launched a joint call to recognise the three best startups in the agrifood sector. They will be awarded at the next edition of Ftalks Editions entitled Food for Good, which will take place on 22 April, coinciding with Earth Day. Projects that offer innovative solutions to the main challenges facing the food sector worldwide can register until 13 April: digital transformation, biotech and personalised nutrition, biodiversity and sustainable agriculture, alternative proteins and zero waste.

According to the European Foundation for Innovation in its study of trends for 2021 published in January this year, the food and beverage market in Spain will reach 94,181 million euros, generating annual growth of 8.9% this year. In this context, experts believe that companies and startups are facing a great opportunity to devise and develop projects that focus on providing an effective response to current challenges and trends.
