UPV, second best entrepreneurial university in Europe

The Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) has won the second prize for best entrepreneurial university in Europe at the Triple E Awards organised by the Accreditation Council for Entrepreneurial and Engaged Universities (ACEEU). In addition, at the awards ceremony it won the prize awarded by the public.

The 2022 edition, held in the Italian city of Florence, brought together 60 finalists from all over Europe, competing in 12 different categories. Thus, the jury awarded second place to the UPV for "being able to transform ideas into start-ups" and only behind the winner, the University of Wales. IESE Business School, also from Spain, completed the podium in third place.

The awards recognise the work of the UPV's entrepreneurship area, Ideas UPV, as well as the entrepreneurial ecosystem StartUPV, which incubates and accelerates startups created by students and graduates. Both institutions are celebrating their 30th and 10th anniversaries this year, respectively. In addition, the award recognises all the initiatives that the UPV carries out in the entrepreneurial field, such as competitions, prizes, training sessions or the Spontaneous Generation groups, among others.
