More than 1,500 innovation firms will participate in Valencia in the Webit 2020

The city is beginning to prepare for Webit 2020, which will fill La Marina de València with some 15,000 people and 1,500 companies specialising in innovation for an event to be held from 17 to 20 June next year. These are the figures of this meeting that was presented yesterday by the Minister of Innovation, University, Science and Digital Society, Carolina Pascual, the director general of the Webit festival, Plamen Russev, and the councillor for Innovation of the City of Valencia, Pilar Bernabé.

Russev pointed out that from the very first moment they perceived "the positive energy that the city of Valencia transmits" and that influenced when choosing it among all the candidates who opted, a total of 27 cities. Russev also commented that the economic impact of the event in the last city in which it was held, Sofia, in Bulgaria, was 60 million euros, with more than 70% of the senior management participants.
