A bean spread created in Valencia wins the prize for the best sustainable project at the ftalks Food Summit.

The fifth edition of the ftalks Food Summit, promoted by the KM ZERO Food Innovation Hub Foundation, has crowned the two winning startups of this year's ftalks Food Summit Startup Award. Specifically, they were the Valencian company Spread Sensations, which won the award for the best sustainable project for the creation of a 100% vegetable spread made from locust beans, and the Aragonese company Levprot Bioscience, which won the award for innovation.

For the first time in the history of the event, the winning startups will receive a cash prize of 5,000 euros, thanks to the support of Solulim and Vicky Foods, as well as joining the KM ZERO network made up of investors, food industry companies, entrepreneurship support organisations and more than 400 startups, the organisers said in a statement.
