València Activa announces a competition for 5 virtual stands at DreamHack Beyond

The València Activa Foundation, through VIT Emprende, announces a competition to select 5 startups and/or innovative companies to showcase their products and services at the DreamHack Beyond event, from 24 to 31 July, to showcase, through their stand, the entrepreneurial, innovative and technological talent of the city of València.

This year, due to the situation generated by COVID19, DreamHack Beyond is transformed into a free, fully digital, home-based interactive experience that shares the best of DreamHack. Players can immerse themselves in the story of the mystical Sleepers by creating their own characters, completing the game's narrative, searching for side quests and increasing their XP, farming for items and much more!

DreamHack Beyond will feature areas dedicated to game demos, cosplay, tournaments, etc. DreamHack goes BEYOND creativity and aims to create a unique multiplayer experience.

This call is an initiative that responds to the institutional will to actively promote emerging initiatives and new creators. For this reason, and through this call, a virtual space will be made available for 5 startups, innovative companies or professionals to showcase their products and services, free of charge, at this international event.

Requirements to apply for the call:

• Be part of the VIT Emprende network. Applicants must be registered and/or register, free of charge, at the following link.
• Have fiscal and/or social domicile and/or residence in the municipality of Valencia.
• Have their own active products on the market or at a very advanced stage in order to be able to exhibit them at the stand.
• Not be represented at the event to date.
• The companies and/or professionals must be constituted prior to the presentation of the application.

Endowment:

The virtual stand of València Activa will have 5 virtual spaces in which the startups or innovative companies will have at their disposal:

• Personalised stand where they can interact with visitors during the event and also host:

1. Video/images
2. Link to their products
3. Description of the company and/or products

• Exclusive access to the networking area where you will be able to meet with companies from the sector.
• Dissemination of a video, maximum 4 minutes, of the company and/or product that will be promoted on the Dreamhack platform and social networks.
• Participation in the round tables on the e-sports sector, video game development and technology.

How, where and when to send the application:

All requested information should be sent to the following email address: vitemprende@valenciactiva.es  

Until Wednesday 14 July 2021 at 12 noon, specifying the following details: 

1. Name and CNAE of the entity
2. Names and surnames of the possible persons who will participate in the virtual stand, and the position they hold in the organisation.
3. E-mail, telephone number and full address of the organisation
4. Explanatory information about the company and the products to be exhibited at the virtual stand.
5. Logo of the start-up or company in vector format.
6. Submit the requested supporting documents. In the case of the address and date of registration of the activity (certificate of census status, 036 or 037, etc.).
7. Letter of commitment, signed by a representative of the entity, accepting participation in the event in the following terms:

• Availability to remain at the virtual fair on the days of the event.
• Subsequent delivery of an evaluation report on attendance at the event.

Selection criteria:

The selection of the startups, companies and professionals that will form part of the València Activa stand will be carried out by the technical staff of the València Activa Foundation. The following criteria will be taken into account:

That they are framed within the following sectors:

• 10 points: e-sports or video game development.
• 8 points: Animation, virtual or augmented reality.
• 5 points: other areas related to the sector

Date of incorporation:

• 10 points: After 1 January 2020
• 5 points: Prior to 1 January 2020

In the event of a tie in the assessment, priority will be given to the order in which the applications are received.

The rest of the applications will be reserved in order of score and may be incorporated into the stand in the event of any voluntary resignation among the selected companies and professionals.
