Two research groups from the Universitat Jaume I de Castelló (UJI) have designed a mobile application that aims to help in the treatment of mental health disorders such as panic disorder, agoraphobia and pathological gambling thanks to geolocation technology.

The ecosystems of Valencia, the Basque Country, Galicia and Andalusia, within the framework of the Tech Spirit Barcelona initiative, which arose after the cancellation of the MWC and the 4YFN, are organising #TheOthersBCN20, a joint event to give visibility to these other hubs and their entrepreneurial ecosystems.

Several applications have been submitted, of which fifteen have been selected according to the selection criteria established in the call for applications published on the VIT Emprende website and the spaces available.

The Area of Innovative Development of Economic Sectors and Employment launches, through València Activa, the municipal aid line 'València Activa 2020', to which 1,404,000 euros are allocated with the aim of "strengthening and consolidating the Valencian entrepreneurial ecosystem to encourage economic promotion in the municipality of Valencia and support for those groups with greater difficulty in accessing economic activity", as detailed by the Councillor for Entrepreneurship and Economic Innovation, Pilar Bernabé.

Forinvest will once again turn the Valencian 'city' into the financial centre of Spain on the 3rd and 4th of March. This will be the thirteenth edition of this pioneering national event, which has become the largest financial-business networking space in Spain. It is worth remembering that the starting gun will be fired the night before on the Night of Finances, which this year will feature Ignacio Sánchez Galán, president of Iberdrola.

When looking for funding, a startup has to evaluate all available options. The good news is that there are more and more alternatives to choose from according to the different stages of the organization. What seems clear is that, in the initial stages, banks have little to say. Unless you have robust capital to back you up, chances are they won't give you the money you need, no matter how much 'tiger look' you get when you display the power point. If there is still no product, as is often the case, and no billing, it is preferable to tell the neighbours about the business idea rather than the banks.
